Noelia Vera

Noelia Vera is a celebrated artist and singer from Santa Lucía de Tirajana, Gran Canaria.

Her impressive stage career spans more than four decades and has taken her all across Europe. Her repertoire is wide-ranging, characterized by a mix of different musical styles, a great sense of humor, and a charming stage presence.

Her career began in the 1980s on the terrace of Westfalia in the Cita shopping center in Playa del Inglés, where she was a key part of the entertainment scene for many years. Afterwards, she left the Canary Islands and toured throughout Galicia with the group Montes Claros.

Upon her return to Gran Canaria, she performed for many years at the Hotel Marieta (Terrassa Marina). Her career then continued internationally with engagements in Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy. In the 1990s, she experienced a memorable moment when she had the honor of singing for the Borussia Dortmund football team in their stadium. Another highlight was her collaboration with the iconic Amanda Lear in 1992. She later returned to Playa del Inglés, where she presented her live shows several times a week at the famous venue Ciao Ciao.

In July 2024, Noelia Vera was given a special honor by her home municipality of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. As part of the V. LGTBIQ+ Week, she received an award for her outstanding professional and personal career and her tireless commitment to the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community. She is considered one of the first trans individuals to live and work openly in the south of Gran Canaria, making her an important pioneer.

Her artistic journey took her to Germany in 2025: she performed in December at the renowned PARADIES Revue Theater in Nuremberg as part of the “Crazy X-Mas” show.
